Call on Him, Now

Call on Him, Now

(Verse 1)
||: There’s nothing…
Nothing like the Blood of Jesus
To save you from sin.
Nothing like Jesus’ Power
To make you born again.
Nothing like the Healing
That flows from His Hand
And it’s for you, right now.
Call on Him, now! :||
Call on Him, now—–! (Selah.)

(Chorus)
Call on Jesus’ Name;
It’s above every name
And watch the very thing
Jesus said…happen to you.
Call on the Name
That is above every name
And watch the very things
Jesus said…come true. (Selah.)

(Verse 2)
||: There’s something…
Something about Jesus’ Voice
To calm the sea’s rage.
Something about His Voice
To call Lazarus from the grave.
Something about His power
To cause the earth to shake
And Yeshua’s here, right now.
Call on Him, now! :||
Call on Him, now—! (Selah.)

(Bridge)
||: Yesterday, today, and forever-
Jesus stays the same.
His Name is still above all others;
The dead, He still will raise.
He’s still The Way, Truth, and Life
And mightily He’ll always reign.
He’s here for you, now.
Call on Him, now—! :||

(Chorus. Repeated as many times as the Holy Spirit leads how He leads.)

(Coda)

———-
The first part of this song came to me while I was waiting one Sunday morning for the cable man to come and reconnect me. I had been going through a cold and was seeking God for His help and healing. Later that morning, I went to New Life Frostburg and finished the song before the service officially started. One thing that is awesome is how a lot of the themes I have in this song were in the worship songs and the message that day. The message was about God’s powerful peace in Yeshua and the Holy Spirit. God is that awesome! In some ways, I can see how God is still saying this song to me personally. As I’m going through what I’m going through, the very King of Kings is here with me now and has not lost any increment of His power. Not only that, Yeshua will always be awesomely immeasurably powerful! That’s my Savior! That’s my Shield! That’s the One I belong to! It’s in His authority I go forth. He always will be reigning Champion! Not only that, God absolutely loves me!

Yeshua is there right now, where you are. You also can call upon His Name and be saved even from eternal destruction! (Clicking on the link below will bring you to Bible Gateway where you’ll be able to study the Scripture reference further.)

Romans 10:6-13 (NKJV)

But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “‘Who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
